As the year is rapidly coming to a close, many people also turn their attention to closing out their books as well – thinking through those charitable donations and other items to consider before the end of the year.
With that in mind, I thought it would be neat to take a look at the bank book for the GCNA’s first account, opened in 1936 in Ottawa at The Canadian Bank of Commerce (which is now the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce).
And as a follow up to the last “fabulous find” post about membership cards, Dr. Andrea McCrady was kind enough to share her 1989-90 membership card, which she recently came across.
